Room setup
Place spectrometer on two drafting boards;
elevates to proper position on H-tube
The spectrometer is aimed at H-tube
Note how spectroscopes are staggerd
on bench
Set up extra gas tubes (He, Ne, Ar, etc.)
on front bench
Place box of 2x2 diffraction gratings
next to demo tubes
Move the small table to front of room;
place sodium (Na) source and two wood platforms
on table
The wooden platforms; necessary to
elevate spectrometer to view Na source
Place slit aperature on both sides of Na source
Install a desk lamp and variac for the instructor
