Three Cornell slides in front of three lasers.
Two lasers sit on wood platforms, the third directly on the bench.

Side view. Note the masking tape securing the laser
power cords. This keeps the lasers from moving out of position.

Two Cornell slides sit in wood blocks on top of scissor jacks.
The third sits on bench, held upright by mirror clip.

Newsprint taped to the wall. Use black marker
to indicate the interference pattern being observed.

Don't look directly at the laser!!

The patterns, from top:
Single slit diffraction

Double-slit interference (closely spaced slits)
Double-slit interference (widely separated slits)
