  B Around a Permanent Magnet
Description:

Demonstrate B around a permanent magnet (bar or cylindrical) using iron filings.

Notes: You can show B around a permanent bar magnet using iron filings sprinkled on a piece of cardboard or paper. This can also be demonstrated on an overhead projector using a container that has iron filings suspended in silicon oil.
