  Blackboard Optics
Description:

An assortment of lenses and mirrors that stick to blackboards with strong magnets; demonstrate reflection, refraction, dispersion, total internal reflection..

Notes:

The photo below shows what's available in the box (note that the magnets do not stick on whiteboards!):

  • 5 plastic lenses: triangular prism; rectangle; Semicircular, Plano-convex lens and Plano-concave lenses
  • 3 mirrors: two planes; 1 concave & convex
  • 3 plastic bars (each with two red magnets) of two lengths used to hold mirrors/lenses to the board (*Be sure to remove magnet covers!)
  • 1 magnetic light source. Do not exceed 12 volts DC!
  • Other assorted crap in the box

You'll also need a DC power supply, preferably one with an internal voltmeter so that you don't exceed 12 volts DC!

Location:

LDL-Workbench. The storage box is generally sitting on the workbench

If you're using the Astro labl you'll also need a lab cart on which to place these items near the blackboard.
