  Precession
Description:

Demonstrate the precession of the Earth's axis.
Notes: Use a gyroscope on lab bench. Also use a spinning bicycle wheel while standing on rotating platform. Hold the spinning wheel at about a 45° angle; the direction of your rotation is determined by the spin direction of the wheel.
Location:

LDL on Floor. Rotating metal platform.
LDR-G4: Bicycle wheel

A gyroscope can be found in the instructor's desk in the astronomy lab!
