Basic Idea:

• Use the following procedure (before each class) to check that the tracks are level:
  
  1. Lay the bubble level along the length of the track; adjust as needed.
  2. Put the level crosswise on the track, over one of the supporting legs. Adjust as needed.
  3. Repeat with level over other set of supporting legs.
  4. Repeat procedure a.

• Set photogates to gate, 1 ms, and memory On (the red light is on).

• Carts should have flag installed to trip the photogate.

• On sunny days, the window shades should be drawn; bright sunlight will affect photogate performance.

• Be sure the tracks are as clean as possible

• Extra copies of the momentum data sheet should be printed!
