  • Use helium-quality balloons - they're less likely to break during the experiment. Jeff will purchase balloons from St. Lawrence Supply, 114 Route 345, Potsdam. Note that new balloons need to be purchased every year! They are more likely to break after sitting around for the year.
    • During Fall 2021, the timers were so unreliable that they were unusable, and we had students use their smart phones. If the timers will again be used, check that the button batteries for the timers are in good condition. 2 per timer; 1.5 volt, 390/389 {LR1130 - LR54 equivalent}
