• We know:      a_z, a_x, v_oz, z_o, x_o
• Unknown:      v_ox, t
• What are the values of z and x? 
• Two equations, two unknowns: eliminate t, solve for v_ox in terms of g, h, and D (algebraically!)

• Trash can shot (from Excel spreadsheet):
  • v_{ox, min},  <v_ox>,  v_{ox, max}       

• Stay on track: finish collecting data by 3:00 pm!

======================= Fourth Board Section =============================

• Trash can shot scoring:
  • Sink the ball on the first shot: +1 pt.
  • Bonus: Tiny juice can (with different angle!): +0.5 pt.
  • No practice shots!
  • Your magnificent and overworked instructor must witness your can shots.

• When finished:
  • Return projectile to the box on the front bench
  • Don't throw away the carbon paper!
  • Remove all tape from floor and lab bench!
