Notes:

• Note: 6 guns are shown in the figure for Bewkes 231 below: launchers A, C, D, G, H, I. Note that 2 more launchers (L, M) are set up in the either Bewkes 232 or 202; ask Jeff in which room the extra launchers will be set up. Connect launchers in the places indicated in both maps below. Note: One launcher (I) will be placed on the movable table from Bewkes 231 and pushed in the hallway before each lab. Mount this launcher on the right-front corner of the small movable table in the 231 lab, and leave the table in that room. Photogate notes: Remove the photogate head from the timer support rod by unscrewing the photogate mounting screw from the plastic rod clamp. Put the plastic clamp and the screw in a safe location in the lab. The photogate head and the accessory photogate are attached to the photogate bracket using the mounting screws attached to the bracket (sketch at right) 3 additional launchers (I, L, M) are needed, and will be set up in Bewkes 202; ask Jeff to be sure, in case that room is in use. Set up the three launchers as shown in the second map below. Remove the drawers in the bench under launcher I and L; that makes it easier to attach the clamps!
  Large bench clamp notes: Don't bother clamping launchers to bench; just leave two bench clamps near each launcher. Jeff will align and clamp each one Two large bench clamps are used to secure each launcher to the bench. The large bench clamps have 3 different types of handles, as shown in the photo at right. The best ones to use have a T-handle like 1, where the crossbar can slide back and forth freely. This makes it easy to attach to a tight space on the bench, so these are the preferred ones to use Clamp 2 has a similar handle and can be used for some of the attachments, but there is a large 'knob' at each end of the crossbar, so it's more difficult to attach. Do not use this for the launchers A (on the sink) or I & L (mounted along side bench of Bewkes 202) Clamp 3 has a fixed crossbar that does not move. You have less leverage when trying to make the clamps very tight, so these clamps should not be used for this experiment

• Note for Jeff: Print 2 signs for launchers (hallway, and Launcher C, next to printer): Max angle 45 degrees!
