Experiments with Static Electric Charges

Room setup
Note that this was set up in the Phy104 lab (Bewkes 204)
Electrostatic materials setup:
Rabbit fur, paper towel (Use bubble wrap instead of paper towel),
rubber & glass rods, foil suspended from pendulum clamp by thread

Foil bits are stored on a piece of cardboard.
Old Oscilloscope

Foil on silk thread: Attach rod and
pendulum clamp to bench with large
clamp. Suspend foil on thread from
pendulum clamp
If pendulum clamps are not available
(they may be in use by the Phys 104 lab),
then use a burette clamp, small rod,
and right-angle clamp
