Scaling Properties of Mid-Ocean Ridge Lava Flows

Abstract:

    We examined the scaling properties of the visual reflectance field of underwater lava flows from the East Pacific Rise. We hoped to present our results as a method of identifying lava morphology, but the results displayed scaling behavior only over a small scale.
