Day Lighting

This image is my approximation of a day lit room.  I used about 12 different lights in this scene to create the daylight effect.

"Hyper-realistic" Onion

This was an attempt to make a computer generated image that looked like a photograph. The board it's resting on is a scan of a a clipboard I made in 7th grade shop class.

Displaced Desert

This is a displacement shader I wrote that randomly creates fields of cacti. This means that there is no explicit geometry for any of the cacti in the scene, the renderer simply evaluates a function that has information about the probability of cactus creation and how the geometry should be displaced to create one if necessary.

Light Shader

Here is an example of a light shader that simulates sunlight as it scatters through leaves in a tree. I used to have a movie for this but it is long gone...

View Dependent Fractal Landscapes

These images were rendered using a program that would subdivide the mountains depending on how far away they were from the viewer. In other words, the closer the viewer gets, the more detailed the mountains get, but when the viewer is far away detail is removed in favor for generating small numbers of polygons. This was all done at about 30 fps.
