Mathematics Problem Of the Week

Fall 2007

POW #2

Anagrammatical Equation

Fill in the blanks below with four different numbers, each spelled out as ordinary English words, so that the resulting statement is correct both mathematically and anagrammatically.  (In other words, you can rearrange the letters in the words on one side to spell the words on the other side.)

_______ + _______ = _______ + _______

That’s all you need for a correct solution to this week’s POW, but a second example or other creative anagrammatical equation would help you earn the weekly prize.

Due Friday, September 14th at Noon.

Solutions should be submitted to Dr. R. Lock's mailbox in the Math/CS/Stat office or sent via e-mail to rlock@stlawu.edu.
