I have a deck of cards from which some are missing. If I deal them equally between 9 people, I have 2 cards to spare. If I deal them equally between 4 people, I have 3 cards to spare. If I deal them between 7 people, I have 5 cards to spare. There are normally 52 cards in the deck.
