Photogate position relative to track
One end loop of spring is slightly smaller than the other
(in picture above, the left side is smaller)
Attach spring to cart by placing the smaller end
into the slot on the cart. . .
. . . then hold spring in place with screw

If cart with plunger is used, attach spring
to plunger release
The left stop is positioned at 100 cm mark;
attach larger loop of spring to screw
The right stop is positioned at the
200 cm mark
Small hook (actually a bent paper clip) on
string is attached to screw on cart
The loop end of string is placed over pulley;
small masses will be suspended from loop
Small screw, 500 g mass block, small masses with hooks;
place all masses on bench near track
