Notes:
  • Lab Setup (photo details):
    • All tracks are labeled; place them in positions shown.
    • Plug the motion detector into the Dig/Sonic1 port of the LabPro interface; connect the force probe to CH1.
    • Move the motion detector switch to Cart mode!
    • Place cart on track so that MAGNET appears on the right side, facing the motion detector (Photo #1 at right)
    • Put the following force sensor accessories into a small box to the left of each track (Photo #2 at right):
      • Clay holder
      • Modified rubber tip (mounted on a clay holder)
      • Spring bumper with black plastic base (not the white base)
      • Motion detector reflector flag
    • Jeff will make sure tracks are level before lab
