Notes:

• Lab Setup (three setups in the lab; three setups in the hallway; (if needed) 2 setups in Bewkes 202; see the photo details page):
  • This experiment is set up in Bewkes 231; signs for 103/151 lab swap (on Jeff's OneDrive) need be posted in the hallway
  • Flip up the top part of the motion detector and slide the switch to the right to set to 'human' mode! (photo at right)
  • Desktop computers are used for setups #1 and #2; use laptops for #3, #4, #5, #6, #7 and #8.
  • Setup #3 (near the sink) needs a cart to move the motion detector away from the board
  • Computers #4, #5 and #6 are moved out into the hall before each lab, then stored away at the end of the day
  • Position the motion detector to the right side of the cart for computers #4 and #6; these carts will sit on the left side of the hall. The motion detector on cart #5 should be positioned on the left side; it will sit on the right side of the hall. See photo details for position in hallway.
  • A small wood platform is needed under each motion detector on a cart, as well as in Bewkes 202. In 202, the platform will elevate the motion detector above the bench, causing less interference. See photo details.
